Immersion is OM Ireland’s one year Global Action or “GAP” programme.

The programme’s name is derived from a definition of immersion as “instruction based on extensive exposure to surroundings or conditions that are native or pertinent to the object of study”.  Our aim is to “immerse” participants in three ways:

1. We want team members to be immersed in God’s word, the Bible.
2. We want to immerse participants in gospel ministry.
3. Our desire is that participants are immersed in Irish culture.

The programme consists of approximately 25% teaching/training in a classroom environment, and 75% field ministry experience as participants live in towns and villages across Ireland serving with partnering churches   Upon completion of the programme, successful Immersion participants will have developed:

• A deeper love and appreciation for God’s Word, the Bible.
• A deeper personal devotional and prayer life.
• Their God-given spiritual gifts.
• A passion for personal evangelism.
• A vision for missions that will last a lifetime.
• An appreciation for Irish culture and history.
