TNT
means Teens Need Teens. Perhaps one of the greatest global needs
threatening the world’s young people is the pandemic of HIV/AIDS.
Making
a REAL difference:
At TeenStreet 2007, we talked openly about HIV, AIDS and sex. Christopher
Yuan shocked us with his story - the testimony of how he has lived with
HIV for 10 years, how he met Jesus and how they are walking this road
together.
Last year teens and leaders at TS were enthusiastic and generous, raising €25,000 for HIV and AIDS ministries around the world. Thanks to you there are now African AIDS orphans in school. Your generosity made it possible for some of the most at risk teens in a South African township to have school uniforms, attend life skills training and have people speak into their lives.
Kids in the Caribbean are learning about HIV and AIDS because TeenStreet contributed to a comic book that spells out the facts and risks.
People are reaching out to children living on the streets in Asia in an effort to break the cycle of drugs, sexual abuse and HIV.
This year we want to do even more. We need to train people to educate others about HIV and AIDS. We need to have centres where those at risk can find shelter and hope. We need to involve the church in all this because Jesus is the only hope. We want to prevent your generation, from becoming HIV and AIDS statistics. Please join us and fight this battle together.
