We recommend that, if at all possible, you book a direct flight, as missing a connection with a group of teenagers can be painful and costly (as one group found out a few years ago).
Booking flights
online
As most
of you know, Airline Company’s will make it so easy for
you to spend your money. The price quoted is never the real price (apart
from
above). Here are just a few tips to look out for when booking online:
•
Research – Make sure that the flight you’re getting is the
best deal. Also, that airport is not in the sticks. This could add to your
coach charges. Also, look up the terms and conditions. I know they’re
long and boring but it has valuable info about check-in times, cancelation
fees and other info that they would rather you didn’t know.
•
Hidden charges – Ryanair are famous for charging for everything.
At the moment, they charge for: Credit card booking, travel insurance
(which is charged automatically but can be removed), priority boarding,
Airport
check-in, a charge per bag checked in and taxes and charges.
•
Booking – Get one person to book the flights. This not only saves
time and confusion but it also cuts down the credit card charge as
it is at same time. If you mess around with breaking the group up into
sets it
can save money. .
