| Teens in Europe learn to sing a new song |
InternationalOM International More than 3,600 people from over 20 countries are gathered in Oldenburg, Germany, this week for TeenStreet Europe—a weeklong conference where teens can meet with God and get to know other Christians their age. The theme this year, NEWSONG40, is based on Psalm 40:3, which says, “He put a new song in my mouth…” (NIV).
The programme challenges the teens to recognise the negative “songs” they sing about themselves and learn to transform these old songs into a new song for the Lord. One teen from Sweden said, “I don’t want to be afraid to be myself. God created me, and I want to be myself. I want to be who He created me to be.” Another teen from the UK, said “I want to get rid of my doubt, whether God is real when I’m with my non-Christian friends and they ask me about what I believe.” Throughout the week main hall teaching, small group Bible studies, workshops, seminars and more encourage teens to sing a new song and stand firm on God’s Truth. TeenStreet also includes an Interaction Zone with music and food, outreach opportunities, a fund-raising race and a chance to learn more about global missions. Please pray for the teens as they hear the gospel and learn to dig deeper in their relationship with Jesus. For more information, visit www.teenstreet.de. Credit: OM International |
